Thanks to Music Integrity Engine® it is optimized to extend its extension dynamically at the bottom and is perfect for creating a Home Cinema system even in small environments, it is compatible with the KW1 wireless adapter.

Kef Kube 8 MIE is the most compact subwoofer of the Kube range, designed to discover the hidden depths of sound, enriching your HiFi system with deep and precise bass. The excellence factor of Kube 8 MIE is the quality/price ratio. At a market entry level, the Kef Kube 8 MIE offers power and great versatility thanks to the controls that allow easy integration into both stereo and multi-channel installations.

Despite its small size, thanks to the Music Integrity Engine® and iBX technology which combined are able to dynamically extend the depth of the bass, the new Kube 8 MIE is able to provide exceptionally deep performances but with unprecedented control. Its 200 mm woofer in closed box configuration is driven by a powerful 300W class D amplifier, exactly like the superior models.

The minimal and contemporary but at the same time elegant design of Kube 8 MIE blends perfectly with the furnishings of any domestic context, thanks also to its compatibility with the KW1 wireless adapter. Furthermore, thanks to Kef's unique ability to design, integrate and build its own drivers and components in house, Kube 8 MIE takes cost and sound optimization to a whole new level, allowing it to be inserted into any quality audio system .

Kef Kube 8 MIE is specifically designed to complete small two-channel Home Theater or HiFi systems, without ever giving up control and sound pressure. In fact, its small size makes it easy to integrate even where space is minimal with consistently high performance. The closed case configuration also greatly facilitates positioning.

Kef Kube 8 MIE – Connections

This subwoofer, like the rest of the Kef proposal, offers unrivaled flexibility in its category. With a range of connections ranging from LFE input, line input and high level input (from speaker cables), phase selection, crossover with adjustable low-pass filter and three EQ settings controlled by the innovative proprietary DSP. Connecting and configuring it is really extremely simple. And optimizing the sound of the sub based on the position in the room thanks to the DSP will also be child's play!

The intuitive preset options thus always guarantee excellent performance from Kube, regardless of where it is positioned in the environment. If connected to an active system from the KEF LS line, many of these settings can be controlled directly from the Kef Connect App, automatically by entering the Sub model used, or in manual mode. The “Auto wake-up” function allows the device to be turned on when it detects audio signals, the “Always on” mode keeps it turned on while the “12V trigger” provides automatic activation.

To further improve the performance of the sub it is possible to use an isolator from the IsoAcoustics range which will help to have even clearer and more detailed bass, whilst minimizing unwanted rumbles.

The device dedicated to KEF KW1 subwoofers makes Kube 8 MIE completely wireless, allowing optimal positioning without being limited by cables. The high-quality wireless transmission still ensures nuanced, high-impact reproduction of your favorite movies and music.

Kef Kube 8 MIE – Technologies

The Kube 8 MIE features a front-facing long-throw driver with a large cone area and high excursion, offering higher output at lower frequencies. Its 300W RMS Class D amplifier is the same one used in the higher models and is really efficient, improving performance thanks to its power, but always providing the right control needed.

In this new version of Kube all subwoofers have been updated with MIE Music Integrity Engine® technology, the proprietary suite of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithms coded entirely by KEF ensure the synergy of each component of the subwoofer, performing incredibly fast calculations to analyze input signals, unleashing the full potential of each product and deliver unmatched precision, all to create the best sound possible. Features like iBX Intelligent Bass Extension deliver even deeper, more precise bass at any listening level and bring each product to the peak of its capabilities.​

An extended family of subwoofers

This active subwoofer from Kef is the most compact of the models in the Kube family and to which Kef adds the top model KC92, the ultra-slim T2 sub, the very small but powerful KC62 sub and the prodigious Reference 8b, with even superior performance.

The Kube family is extremely convenient and is suitable for augmenting or completing HiFi and AudioVideo systems based on Kef Q Series or T Series, while it can also be used in combination with Kef R3 speakers or all models of the LS50 series such as the small LSX.

Kef Kube 8 MIE – upgrade

To further improve the already high-performance acoustic results on the low frequencies of this Kef Kube 8 MIE, we recommend inserting a decoupler into the Isoacoustics Aperta Sub HiFi system to increase the definition of the bass. Thanks to four patented isolators placed at the base of its die-cast aluminum frame, Aperta Sub improves dynamics by avoiding transmitting vibrations to the support surface as well as to adjacent rooms.

This essential accessory is available in two versions depending on the size and weight of the subwoofer to support: Aperta Sub holds up to 36 kg, while the XL model supports up to 72 kg of weight.
